EARTHJUNK started in Denver, Colorado as "Artifacts, Antiques, Art, Collectibles and Junk from Planet Earth" A short memorable name was needed. EARTHJUNK was born out of respect for the superior craftsmanship found in older items from the finest American companies. Both Mr. and Mrs. Junk (John and Cindee Haddix) credit this respect to their grandmothers' love of acquiring beautiful items. Both husband & wife were in training from birth. Half a century later, they had amassed 7 figures worth of inventory and outgrown all 4 existing buildings. On August 12th of 2009 EARTHJUNK was blessed to find a progressive mentality in Sargent, Nebraska. The city of Sargent wanted Earthjunk to be part of their business community. Sargent has worked together with John & Cindee to achieve mutual growth. In 2009, John and Cindee purchased 5 buildings up and down Main Street. All buildings in Burwell are For Sale. EarthJunk maintains one permanent warehouse in Denver, Colorado and offers free delivery to their Denver location. |

EarthJunk at the Sargent District Hospital |
The corporate office is located at 1201 W. Main Street in the old Sargent District Hospital. The entire hospital will be a tribute to the high quality of style and workmanship associated with Ethan Allen & Tell City Chair Co and other quality manufactors. The office staff will work out of the Emergency Room using 22 pieces of Ethan Allen's Old Tavern Antique Pine Custom Room Plan. Like all Ethan Allen, this collection is so well crafted that it has stood the test of time for over 40 years. We daily use and live with Ethan Allen at both work and home. We know the value of furniture that lasts and has thoughtful practical design. We invite you to see Ethan Allen & Tell City Chair Company in actual use as well as in over 20 show rooms. Each individual showroom features a separate Ethan Allen or Tell City collection. The showrooms are designed to give you an idea how that particular collection would look in a real home like yours. Solid wood furniture with a glowing patina, the finest fabrics and custom wallpaper create interior visions that will carry you away. The former Nurses Station will be converted to a Photo Taking Gallery. The backgrounds you see on eBay auctions will be from this area. Fortunately, we have enough of the Henry Ford Dearborn wallpaper left for the south half of the Photo Taking station. Obtaining a wall covering as aesthetically pleasing and historically significant for the north half of the Photo Taking Gallery has to date been an elusive undertaking. EarthJunk is proud to offer all visitors the opportunity to have their photos taken in this area. We will email your photos. We want to provide you with many happy memories of Sargent, Nebraska. |

EarthJunk at the Historic Abbott Building |
Exactly 100 years after the Abbott Brothers proudly opened for business at 417 Main Street, the empty historic landmark was purchased by John & Cindee Haddix. John and Cindee are moving their former antique store, the Burwell Butter Factory into this building. The Abbott building presents an authentic setting for their massive collection of golden oak cabinetry complete with a tin ceiling. 419 and 421 Main Street have been purchased to hold the rest of the inventory. The three buildings offer a wide selection of treasures to complement any Ethan Allen Collection. To ensure your home is as unique as you are, there is a plethora of beautiful items, new and old! |

EarthJunk at the Sargent Nursing Home |
The Sargent nursing home has become "The Manor House Gallery" located at 201 S. Hwy 183. This convenient location on Hwy 183 will have the same theme as the old Sargent District Hospital. Each room will be decorated with beautiful American made furniture from discontinued Ethan Allen and Tell City. The Manor House Gallery will also feature antiques & collectibles. This building does not need as much rennovation so we are looking forward to opening our doors by May 2010! The Manor House Gallery encourages and welcomes other businesses or antique vendors to join them at their location! For more information about space for rent contact Cindee Haddix at 303-907-0793. |
